A desk for comparing research

Literature Review Matrix is an independently maintained tool for readers preparing a literature review. It provides blank spreadsheets, an online evidence matrix, and a theme-based outline from the notes you enter.

What the tool does

The generator groups and formats your own source notes. It does not search databases, read uploaded papers, verify citations automatically, or use an AI model to create findings. A completed row means it has the required fields and a unique reference; it does not certify that the source or claim is correct.

How worked examples are prepared

We select a small, coherent set of real papers to teach the matrix workflow. The active-learning example links each row to its DOI, PubMed record, and full paper, and gives the abstract or figure location used for its paraphrase. It is a teaching selection, not a comprehensive literature search.

Reported findings are kept separate from our theme labels, contribution judgments, strength appraisals, and scope cautions. Readers should check the originals and use the appraisal method required by their course or review protocol.

Maintenance and review

Dates on substantive pages identify the latest content revision or source check. The current example was checked on September 8, 2026. We correct source metadata, evidence summaries, and tool behavior when an error is verified; we do not claim institutional endorsement or that a template guarantees academic quality.
